Welcome to your parish church.

People: Like all churches, the most important thing is the people. We are an open and friendly family who come together to find joy, peace and meaning in following Jesus Christ.

Worship: Our worship is largely traditional in style in that the ministers wear robes (or vestments) and we sing hymns. During Holy Communion (or the Eucharist) the focus is on Jesus Christ giving himself to us in the Bread and the Wine, as at the Last Supper.  At Christ Church there is quite a high emphasis on this part of our worship which is sometimes known as the High Church tradition. Our evening services may have a more informal tone with an emphasis on prayer and reflection. All services are family friendly and open to everyone.

Place: Christ Church is a beautiful building located on Cross Street, Skipton and is visible and easily accessible via the main Keighley Road. Feel welcome to visit. Look out for special open days in the local press and on the church noticeboard. St Mary's Church is a beautiful Victorian church located in the heart of Carleton in Craven village. It can be accessed via the entrance to Louvain Terrace on West Street in the village centre (Post code BD23 3DF).

Daily Message

But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive.
